Physical Education Overview

Children are encouraged to keep fit as part of their education for a healthy lifestyle. Gymnastics, games and dance are taught in each year group and swimming is taught in Year 3.

We have a number of school teams including football, netball, rugby, cross country, cricket, sailing and athletics, which regularly take part in matches with local schools. We offer an extensive range of after-school sports clubs.

Our Science and Sports Leader is Mr Startin and KS2 Sports Champion is Miss Stickland and KS1 Sports Champion is Miss King.

All of the details of the competition and the activities for each day are in the download below.  Children can submit their results at the end of the week to contribute to Bishop Aldhelm's score. You do not need to give out your email address at the bottom of the form as we will get the results as a school.

Dorset schools will be collecting the individual results and will be awarding prizes on highest participation in schools and outstanding achievements for individuals so get involved!

School Sports Week 

Each day this week there will be a new sport activity to compete in at home or in school.  They are explained in the downloads section below and there will be a warm up video plus and activity video posted on our school YouTube channel every day in this week.  Make sure you email your year group email address the scores so they can be added to your House's scores!
