Parent School Association (PSA)

The PSA is the ‘Parent and School Association’ here at Bishop Aldhelm’s. All parents/carers at Bishop Aldhelm’s are welcomed as members of our Parents and School Association.  The school is extremely grateful for the fantastic work carried out by our Association and we wholeheartedly support this group which raises lots of money to better the opportunities for all youngsters at Bishop Aldhelm’s.

Bishop Aldhelm's Primary School PSA comprises of a sub-committee and a full committee meeting each half term.  The sub-committee is responsible for arranging dates of events and dates of meetings etc. whereas the full committee meetings allow for projects to be developed and identifies those people that can help run events or help set up or pack away afterwards.

Any parent of any child is welcome to attend any meetings, if you would like to contact us please initially speak to the school office or Mr Sharp.

PSA events include:

  • Christmas Fair
  • Summer Fair
  • Providing refreshments at school events such as sports days and productions
  • Discos for KS2
  • Entertainers for EYFS and KS1
  • Quiz night for parents. 

Recently PSA funds have been used to:

  • Purchase new team PE kits
  • Buy t-shirts for our choir for them to wear for their performance at the lighthouse
  • Develop our school library
  • Pay towards the cost of one trip per year for every class
  • Buy leavers’ books and t-shirts for our Year 6s
  • Pay for speed safety bumps in the school carpark
  • Chair sacks for every child in KS2
  • A Bishop Aldhelm's Award booklet and badge with every child.

Future Events:

  • PSA coffee afternoon - Friday 12th October - 2pm
  • Year 3 and 4 Disco- Monday 15th October- 3:30-4pm
  • Year 5 and 6 Disco- Monday 15th October- 4:15-5:15pm 
  • Year 1 and 2 Entertainers- Tuesday 16th October- 3:15-4:15pm
  • Christmas Fayre- Friday 7th December- 3:30-5:30pm.

Our next meeting will also be our AGM- Monday 24th September at 6pm at Gateway Church. Everybody is welcome!
