Lower Key Stage Two
Welcome to Lower Key Stage Two
We are delighted to welcome you to the Lower Key Stage Two page and to be part of your child's educational journey as they continue to grow, develop, and thrive during Years 3 and 4. Importantly, LKS2 helps children grow in confidence and resilience. They learn how to approach challenges with a positive attitude, how to work both independently and as part of a team, and how to express themselves clearly and creatively.
Explore more about our LKS2 provision, curriculum maps, and how we support every child to thrive by clicking the tabs to look through specific components of the Year 3 and 4 classes. The Topic Overviews are especially exciting; they contain hyperlinks to help you support your child's learning.
Lower Key Stage 2
A time for curiosity, growth, and discovery—and we’re here to make it a positive and enriching experience for every child
LKS2 is a brilliant time for your child to build on the amazing things they learned in Key Stage 1. We follow the National Curriculum, just like in Key Stage 1, but with even more exciting challenges! Year 3 and 4 is a time when curiosity grows, skills deepen, and children begin to develop a greater sense of responsibility and self-awareness.
Life skills: Equally important are the social and emotional milestones your child will reach during these years. We place a strong focus on developing resilience, empathy, teamwork, and independence—essential life skills that prepare children not just for Upper Key Stage Two, but for life beyond the classroom.
Every child learns at their own pace, and we'll make sure they get all the support they need to shine!
