Overnight stay at school - Year 4
Our year 4 children spend the night at Bishop Camp here at school! We bring in activities for the children including a climbing wall, archery experience and a cave trailer! The children spend two days enjoying adventure activities and then spend the night sleeping at school.
France - Key Stage 2
When it comes to learning French and learning about France, there's nothing to beat being there. A visit to our twinned school, buying lunch in a traditional market, your first exchange in French with a local, are all priceless experiences.
In addition, our link school in France visit us each summer. This gives all of our children the opportunity to speak to French children and for our Year 6s to meet their penfriends.
China - Year 5
Previously we have worked closely with the One World Education to form a cultural exchange partnership. This meant we had the pleasure of hosting Chinese students and also some of our pupils visited China too 3 years in a row!
Our school hosted Chinese sister schools students throughout the year and our families that would like to hosted the students. Our families who have hosted found this experience to be extremely rewarding.
This is great opportunity for both parents and children to learn more about another culture. Hosts will be paid for looking after the students. This is organised in partnership with OneWorld Education and the Global Youth Ambassador Project.
We are hoping to look for more links in the future.
PGL - Year 6
Located at the heart of the Jurassic Coast, Osmington Bay adventure centre has direct access to the beach and stunning views across the sea. Any budding Olympians will be thrilled to discover that our watersports take place at the Portland Bay Olympic venue nearby.
From dragon boating to Jacob’s ladder, all our adventure activities at Osmington Bay are designed to bring out the best in our pupils, as they work together, learn new skills and have lots of fun in the process. After an action-packed day, relax in our comfortable en suite accommodation.
